TEHRAN – Eight mobile phone operators from six countries have been added to Iran’s international roaming list.
Subscribers to SK Telecom (South Korea), Cosmote (Greece), M1 (Singapore), UNMC (Ukraine), Fastlink (Jordan) and Airtel (India-Gujarat), Airtel (India-Andhra Pradesh) and MTNL (India-Mumbai) can use the services offered by the Mobile Company of Iran (MCI) as of Sunday January 21. Two mobile phone operators from Lithuania and Luxembourg were the last ones to join the network in November 2006. The network now includes over 130 operators from more than 70 countries. Since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2006), 25 other foreign mobile phone operators from Bosnia, Algeria, Bulgaria, Iraq, Tunisia, China, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, England, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Luxembourg, Cyprus, India and the Netherlands had joined Iran’s intl. roaming network.
