Iran is world’s eighth leading gold jewelry exporter: industrialist


TEHRANA jewelry industrialist said on Saturday that Iran stands 8th among the world’s gold jewelry exporters, putting the country’s total gold and jewelry exports in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2006) at 123 million dollars.

Astara industrial, mineral exports hit 120 tons for fiscal year


RASHT, Gilan Prov. – Over 120 tons of industrial goods and minerals were exported from the northern port city of Astara in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-December 21, 2006).

TEHRAN (MNA) -- Cargo transit via Iran in the first nine months of Iranian calendar year 1385 (ends March 21) hit 4,106,000 tons, which shows a 13.6 percent rise compared with the same period last year.

Export of Persian rugs hits $388m in 9 months


TEHRAN (MNA) -- Hand-woven rugs worth around $388 million were exported to the U.S. and European countries during the first nine months of the current year (Iranian calendar year started March 21, 2006).
